Dean Henderson felt the team played well overall and was proud of his teammates for fighting until the very end.

After a 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest at City Stadium, Crystal Palace captain Dean Henderson said the team will continue to fight for their crest. Just minutes into the game, Henderson conceded the first goal to Morgan Gibbs-White.

As the game progressed, Crystal Palace gradually found their form, displaying a strong counter-attacking intent in the later stages of the first half. Neco Williams' handball led to Ismaila Sarr winning a penalty, which he converted to equalize for Crystal Palace and ultimately secure a point. Near the end of the match, goalkeeper Henderson made a crucial save from Dan Ndoye's header from a tight angle, ensuring his team earned their first point in three Premier League games.

Dean Henderson said: "I'm proud of my teammates for staying up until the very end. We played very well in the first half, were the better team, and created some good chances. The opponent being sent off gave us a lot of motivation, but it's disappointing that we couldn't find a way to score."

“We encountered a similar situation last season, where the opponent adopted a defensive strategy of 'turtling down' and then transitioned between offense and defense, and they did a very good job in that regard. I think the lads performed exceptionally well; they fought until the very last moment. It's very important to have a group of players in the locker room who are constantly striving for the team badge.”
