Bournemouth Football Club is pleased to announce that James Hill has signed a new contract, which will keep the versatile defender at the club until 2029. Hill has been a key member of the team since joining from Fleetwood Town in January 2022.  

James Hill has played in all four of Bournemouth's matches so far this season, making a total of 28 appearances for the club in all competitions. He has also been loaned out to Hearts and Blackburn Rovers over the past few seasons to gain valuable experience.  

The 23-year-old, who has represented England at U20 and U21 levels, played a key role in their unbeaten run in the Premier League last season, particularly impressively providing the assist for Evanilson's goal in the 2-2 draw against Fulham in December.  

After James Hill signed his new contract, Bournemouth's head of football operations, Thiago Pinto, said: "I am delighted for James Hill and his dedication to the club has earned this new contract. His energy and positive attitude on and off the pitch are infectious and we are delighted that he has decided to commit his future to Bournemouth."

After signing, James Hill said: "I am incredibly excited about the new contract. Since joining Bournemouth at the age of 19, I have felt at home here.
