Kasper Juermann looks forward to leading Leverkusen into the competition

Kasper Juermann, a Danish coach, was recently appointed as the new head coach of Bayer Leverkusen and will lead the team in their upcoming match against Eintracht Frankfurt in the 2025/26 Bundesliga season. He expressed his anticipation for the match and expressed his full confidence in the players.

With goals from Patrik Schick and Malik Tillman, Leverkusen was tied 3-3 by Werder Bremen in the last round of the league. Subsequently, the former Manchester United coach Ten Hag was fired.

Leverkusen is currently ranked 12th in the standings with 1 point and has not won in the last two rounds of games.

"I can't wait to get started," said new Leverkusen coach Kasper Juermann. "Of course we want to win this game and I'm looking forward to feeling the atmosphere in front of a full stadium and in front of the fans."

"Everything is new now, but I can feel the energy. This is a very competitive team with high quality and huge potential. The competition within the team is also very fierce. We have many strong leaders and senior players with leadership skills. This is very important. Leadership itself is also a team sport."

Since some of the players had previously represented the national team in competitions, Kasper Yurman only had a few days to lead the players in training.

However, Kasper Yulman said, "I don't think this is a disadvantage. I've watched a lot of game films and had a lot of conversations in the past few days, and tried to collect as much information as possible. I've also received a lot of help from all sides. Next, we will mainly continue to learn during the game and through communication. I've said that it's impossible to be perfect from the start, but I'm very confident."

"We have six games in the next three weeks and we need the commitment and the highest level of performance from all the players. A team is more than just 11 players."

In addition, in terms of head-to-head record, Leverkusen has won the last five matches against Frankfurt, so it has a psychological advantage.

Kasper Juermann added, "I have great respect for Frankfurt and for Topmüller. Frankfurt has improved a lot. They play very agile football and are a very good team."
