Dutch midfielder Hravenberg, in an interview, stated that while failing to secure points was disappointing, they would continue to strive for improvement in the next match.

Liverpool earned a free kick in the 74th minute of the second half, and Szoboszlai converted it directly, giving Liverpool a 1-0 lead. In the 84th minute, Rajan Scherki chipped a pass into the box, Haaland headed it on, and Bernardo Silva then volleyed it home to level the score at 1-1 for Manchester City.

In stoppage time of the second half, Nunes was brought down in the penalty area by Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson, resulting in a penalty for Manchester City. Haaland then converted the penalty, giving Manchester City a 2-1 lead.

Ten minutes later, Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson rushed out into the halfway line, and Rajan Scherki gained possession and took a long-range shot. Szoboszlai and Haaland then pulled each other, and the ball slowly rolled into the goal. However, after VAR intervention, the referee ruled the goal invalid and showed Szoboszlai a red card.

“We are disappointed. I think we deserved more in the second half because we played a good game. But overall, it’s disappointing not to get any points.”

Hrafinberg pointed out, "After Szoboszlai scored, we played very well and were in good momentum. The fans supported us, and we had the strength, but in the end we still conceded a goal."

Furthermore, Liverpool will travel to Sunderland for their next Premier League match. In their first encounter this season, Liverpool drew 1-1 with Lebrides' team.

Hrafenberg continued, "We strive to move forward in every game, just like this one. I felt we didn't start well in the first half, but when we got back to the locker room, we told each other that we had to step up and give it our all, and we did. Hopefully, we can show that kind of performance more often in the upcoming games."
