In the second quarter, the Pelicans narrowed the gap, but two three-pointers from substitute Hield stopped the bleeding. Butler then scored crucial points, helping the Warriors maintain a 61-49 lead at halftime.

After switching sides, Green and Moody hit consecutive long-range shots, sparking another 12-4 run and extending the lead to 20 points. Although the Pelicans responded with three-pointers from Murphy and Alvarado, Curry also opened the scoring from beyond the arc, allowing the Warriors to stabilize the situation. At the end of the third quarter, the Warriors maintained a double-digit lead of 85-71 .
