Angers officially announced on Thursday that Moroccan winger Amin Sibai has signed a two-year contract, valid until June 30, 2027, on a free transfer.
The official also confirmed that Sbai will wear the No. 7 jersey in Angers .
Before joining Angers, Spief was removed from the first team list by Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahsa. The two sides subsequently reached an agreement to terminate the contract early on September 20.
The move by Hassa is intended to free up a foreign player slot for newly arrived Cameroonian striker Karl Toko Ekambi, and also allows Sbai to seek another option, having lost the trust of Portuguese coach José Gomes since July.
The 24-year-old, who primarily plays as a left winger, made his professional debut for Ales in the French National Third Division on August 17, 2019. He subsequently moved to Sete 34 and Grenoble before officially joining Al-Hassleh in August 2024.
To date, Sbai has made 28 appearances for Hazard, scoring 5 goals and providing 4 assists.
This move to Angers marks the first time Sbai has played in one of Europe's top five leagues. Angers has had a poor start to the season, finishing second from the bottom of Ligue 1 with 2 wins, 2 draws and 4 losses after 7 matches, accumulating 5 points.
