President Cuomo: Inter Milan has been rejected, Fabregas will continue to stay next season

Como president Mirvan Suarez has made it clear that Cesc Fabregas will not be joining Inter Milan next season.
The 37-year-old Fabregas has taken over the Como first team since July 2024. His outstanding coaching performance has attracted the attention of many clubs such as Leverkusen, RB Leipzig, AC Milan and Roma. Since Inzaghi left, he has become a popular candidate for Inter Milan's head coach.
However, Mirwan Suarez firmly denied the rumors that Fabregas might coach Inter Milan. He issued a statement saying: "We have directly informed the Inter Milan president of our refusal, and the other party responded in a decent and frank manner, which fully reflects the demeanor that should be between clubs that respect each other. Any rumors that they are interested in poaching our coach, we think are pure speculation - after all, almost no one will continue to entangle after receiving such a clear answer. Especially for a club of Inter Milan's level."
Fabregas also firmly reiterated his position to stay at Como. He told La Repubblica during the SXSW festival in London: "I chose to join Como because of the long-term plan made by the club. I don't want to end my career in a club that only has a plan for one or two years and then nothing happens."
"I believe very much in the long-term project of Como. I came here as a player and now I am a coach in Como. I am very happy to be able to work in my own way."
“The chairman and I share the same goals and aspirations, and he allows me to do what I want. Fortunately, we are highly aligned in our vision and goals, which is to climb as high as possible.”
"Even though Como is a small club in a small town - and we are a small club - we have worked together to become a good team. We still have big ambitions for the future."
