December 1st - The Rockets defeated the Jazz 129-101. Shen Jing efficiently scored 27 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists, while Durant contributed 25 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists. The two combined to help the Rockets control the game from the first quarter.

The Jazz started strong with a 3-0 run, but the Rockets responded with a sustained offensive surge, extending their lead to as much as 14 points. Nurkic scored 10 points in the first quarter to stop the bleeding for the Jazz, but the Rockets still finished the first quarter with a 30-21 lead. In the second quarter, the Rockets continued to extend their advantage, with Durant scoring 10 points in the quarter, pushing the lead to as much as 26 points. Although the Jazz managed to close the gap somewhat towards the end of the quarter, the Rockets maintained their lead at 67-48 .

In the third quarter, the Jazz briefly narrowed the gap to 13 points, but the Rockets once again extended their lead to over 30 points. Markkanen contributed 11 points in this quarter but it wasn't enough to turn the tide, and the Rockets entered the final quarter with a commanding 98-68 lead. In the final quarter, the Jazz tried to catch up, with Flipovsky having a standout performance with 10 points, but the Rockets widened the gap again in the latter part of the quarter. Ultimately, the Rockets easily won 129-101 .
