The Sacramento Kings officially announced today that their star forward Keegan Murray is expected to be out for at least three to four weeks due to a severe sprain in his left ankle.

With the team's record remaining poor, this injury report undoubtedly casts a deeper shadow over the Kings' season prospects. The injury occurred during Sunday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Late in the third quarter, Murray landed awkwardly after a drive and floater, visibly twisting his left ankle. He immediately showed severe pain and was unable to walk on his own, eventually being helped off the court by staff. Post-game imaging confirmed the severity of the sprain.

In his first three years as a professional, Murray was hailed as the team's "Iron Man" for his astonishing attendance rate (missing only 15 out of 246 games). However, at the beginning of the season, Murray missed 15 games due to a torn ligament in his left thumb, and now a serious ankle injury may cause him to miss the entire January schedule.

The Sacramento Kings currently have a dismal record of 8 wins and 28 losses, and are experiencing a painful five-game losing streak. Even more embarrassing is their current average point differential of -12, ranking last in the entire league.
