Ugo Bueno: I have had many opportunities to play during this period, which has made me a more comprehensive player

Ugo Bueno says he had unforgettable memories during his loan spell at Feyenoord but is now delighted to be reunited with his Wolves teammates. The Spanish player was loaned out to the Eredivisie last season in the hope of gaining more game time and experience. He succeeded in doing so, making 30 appearances for the club and playing in his first Champions League campaign.

The player, who is currently representing Slovakia at the Under-21 European Championship, previously enjoyed a valuable spell in the Netherlands, an experience he believes made him a more complete and well-rounded player.

Hugo Bueno said: "My initial thought was that I needed to show more ability. Last season's performance was good and I had a lot of playing opportunities, but when I want more, I have to work harder. I came here to show my strength, get more game time, accumulate experience and learn new things. In a brand new league, there are many things to learn."

“Everything progressed very quickly. I remember clearly the first week I arrived and how quickly I integrated into the team. I learned that this is a club that has a strong desire to win. The team drew the first game and then needed to win the next game, which was my debut. From the moment I joined the team, I felt very harmonious and confident.”

"The Premier League is undoubtedly exciting, with high-quality and intense matches. To be honest, it has given me a big surprise. Although I already know the strength of strong teams such as PSV and Ajax, I am also impressed by some other teams. This motivates me to keep moving forward, continue playing and show more strength. This is indeed a challenge for me, but I enjoy the process of every game."

Ugo Bueno also said: "Robin Van Persie has performed very well and has given the team a much-needed boost. It is vital to change players at key moments and look for players who bring intensity. Players like him perform admirably and contribute greatly to the entire team. Since joining, he has brought essential support to the team."

"De Wolff has always been a rock for me because he is someone who can really communicate and always has my back. He is passionate about Wolves, which is rare. At the same time, he has a great sense of humour. Although he didn't spend a long time at Wolves, he told me that he enjoyed the experience very much and it meant a lot to him. To this day, he still mentions Wolves often."

"In their careers, players will meet different coaches. Each coach will bring new ideas to help players show themselves. Adjustments in details are particularly important in future development."

"It's never easy, you have setbacks. I still remember the week I had a good debut, but the next day I got injured, it's been up and down. When you feel good and confident, something unexpected can happen. It's part of football, you have to learn to face it, keep working hard and come back better. Sometimes you perform well, sometimes you don't, that's the reality of football."

"I have been following the team closely since day one. Even though some people questioned whether they would be relegated when they were at their lowest point, I always believed in the quality of this team. I know all my teammates and I am sure they will show their true level. At the same time, I have been in contact with my teammates from last season, especially those who speak Spanish."

"They ask about my recent situation, and I will also ask about their situation over there, because a lot of changes have happened there. Even if I am in a different place, it is very important for me to keep in touch with my friends, because the existence of friends means a lot. I am very much looking forward to seeing everyone again and finding out how they are doing recently. Going back to visit friends and feeling that special emotion is really precious."
