Bayern Munich secured their place in the last 16 of the Club World Cup with a brilliant 2-1 win over Boca Juniors. Coach Vincent Kompany was delighted to say that two consecutive wins had started the team's journey well. In addition, Manuel Neuer, Harry Kane, Jonathan Tah and Konrad Laimer also gave some comments after the game.  

Vincent Kompany said: "We worked hard today and luckily we got the job done. I am very satisfied that we have reached the last 16. As you can see, it is very difficult for European teams to face South American teams."  

“Despite all that, I think we played really well and managed our emotions well. Even though we conceded a goal, we stayed calm and showed a mature understanding of the game. Overall, the team played solidly. The atmosphere was incredible and you have to be there to experience and feel the honor. We are very happy to start this tournament with two wins.”  

Manuel Neuer said: "The result is the most important. We were the better team and defensively we were pretty solid. As you can see in the tournament, it's not easy to play against South American teams. We are happy to start with six points."  

“We had a slight advantage in the first half. Although the opponent’s goal ignited the atmosphere, we remained calm and were not affected. Now, we are ready to face Benfica in good shape and look forward to performing well again and fighting for three points.”  

Harry Kane said: "The players performed very well. We knew that the game would not be easy in hot weather conditions. We played very well in the first half and should have led by two or three goals. The second half was more difficult. The opponent exerted more pressure and controlled the tempo of the game. But after they scored, we adjusted quickly and turned the situation around."  

“It’s a great feeling to score the goal that sealed our qualification. This is a big game and we’re facing the best team in the world. Our attitude has always been the same, that we have to play at our best. So far, our performance in the tournament has been going very well.”  

Jonathan Taher said: "The game went as we expected. We strictly implemented the game plan, neither over-attacking nor letting the game get out of control. We focused on playing to our level, the atmosphere was very good and the process was very interesting."  

"Personally, the noise from the opposing fans motivates me. We played well in the first two games. It will be a different challenge against Benfica, but we hope to keep performing well and do our part."  

Konrad Laimer said: "Today's game was very exciting, and this is the charm of the Club World Cup. We have a completely different feeling when we compete with such a high-level club. Sometimes the game is more intense and there will be more impactful attacks. But overall, our performance is satisfactory. I think we should have scored more goals in the first half, which would have made the game smoother."
