The 2025/26 NBA regular season will see a new round of competition, with the Los Angeles Lakers hosting the Los Angeles Clippers. Forward LeBron James stated in an interview that he is looking forward to the team entering this crucial final stage of the season with a healthy and complete roster.

In the previous round of the regular season, the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Dallas Mavericks 124-104, thanks to points scored by LeBron James, Rui Hachimura, and Austin Reeves.

After achieving a record of 33 wins and 21 losses, the Los Angeles Lakers are currently ranked 5th in the Western Conference standings.

"We play well sometimes, but the most important thing for us is health," said LeBron James, the 41-year-old Los Angeles Lakers star. "We just got our full roster back, Austin Reeves finally returned, and then Luka Doncic suffered a hamstring injury, so getting everyone healthy is the most important challenge for us."

"It's been like this for the past few years; our roster doesn't have enough room for error. Back when Anthony Davis was on the team, whenever he got injured, we felt things were going to go wrong because we didn't have enough people to fill the gap. And now it's the same with Luka Doncic. When Austin Reeves is out, everyone is trying to cope, but it's really tough."

Furthermore, when discussing the final stretch of the season, LeBron James said, "This is extremely important for us. I'm looking forward to having everyone back in the final stretch, and of course, I hope there won't be any more problems, and then we'll see what we can really achieve. I also want to give credit to our coaching staff for keeping the team competitive despite the constant injuries."
