Jack O'Brien revealed that after his excellent performance last season, he is eager to return to Finch Farm as soon as possible to start pre-season training. He also said that his growth path still requires more work and preparation. Although Jack O'Brien participated in an international friendly match for the Republic of Ireland in June, he is still eager to return to Everton as soon as possible to participate in a full pre-season preparation.

It has been an excellent second half of the 2024-25 season for Jack O'Brien. Following David Moyes' return to the club in January, the defender made 18 appearances in 20 Premier League games, showing consistency and a significant role.
Two-thirds of his playing time came at right back, a completely new role for the 6-foot- 6 center back.
He continued: "I think versatility is very important, not only to be familiar with one position, but also to understand multiple different positions. I feel that I am still learning. It feels good to be able to play two positions. I am willing to take on both roles. No matter which position the team needs me in, I will be ready."
