Juventus defeated Udinese 2-0 in the Coppa Italia Round of 16s match in Turin on Tuesday to advance to the quarterfinals.

In the first half, David scored by sliding the ball into the net, Ehizibue's scored after chipping the keeper, but his goal was ruled out, and David's goal from a difficult angle was also ruled out. In the second half, Locatelli converted a penalty, and Openda's close-range shot was initially parried but went in, only to be disallowed. Ultimately, Juventus defeated Udinese by 2-0.

First Half

In the 11th minute, Juan Cabal made a straight pass from the left wing. Kenan Yıldız quickly followed up, got the ball, dribbled and cuts into the left side of the box before volleying with his right foot, but his shot was saved by Razvan Sava.

12 minutes later, Weston McKennie crossed into the box from the byline at the right wing. His pass was initially deflected and cleared off not far away by Oumar Solet before being slid into the bottom left corner of the net by Jonathan David from a very close distance in the box with his right foot. Juventus broke the deadlock first to take a 1-0 lead! This was only the Canada international striker's third goal since joining I Bianconeri this summer!

In the 30th minute, Sandi Lovric made a long pass from the midfield center circle. Kingsley Ehizibue quickly followed up, got the ball, and dribbled into the center of the box before skillfully chipping the ball into the bottom left corner of the empty net past the outrushing Michele Di Gregorio. However, the linesman immediately raised his flag for offside, and the goal was ruled out!

3 minutes later, Fabio Miretti played a straight pass ball from the left side of the box. David quickly followed up and upon receiving the pass, volleyed the ball into the top right corner of the net from the edge of the byline at the left side of the box with his left foot. However, the referee immediately blew his whistle for offside, and the goal was ruled out!

At halftime, Juventus temporarily enter the break with leading Udinese by 1-0.

Second Half

Both teams switched sides as the match continued. In the 54th minute, McKennie passes horizontally from the front. After stopping the ball and adjusting his angle, Yıldız volleyed with his right foot from the left side of the box, but his shot went just slightly wide of the bottom right of the post.

10 minutes later, Cabal dribbled into the left side of the box and was seemingly brought down by Matteo Palma. The referee initially made no reaction until the VAR assistant referee intervened. He then went to the sidelines to review the VAR and ruled that Palma had indeed fouled Cabal by stepping on his left foot, Juventus was thus awarded a penalty!

Substitute Manuel Locatelli converted a penalty with his right foot, extending Juventus' lead to 2-0! I Bianconeri's captain finally broke his goal drought this season!

In the 4th minute of stoppage time, João Mário delivered a low cross into the box from the right wing. Loïs Openda quickly followed up and upon receiving the pass, pushed the ball with his right foot from a very close distance box. His shot was initially deflected by Sava's outstretched leg but bounced into the top left corner of the net anyway. However, the VAR assistant referee immediately intervened!

After VAR check, João Mário was found offside, and the goal was ruled out! Openda's goal drought since joining Juventus will continue!

When the final whistle is blown, Juventus defeated Udinese by 2-0.
