St. Pauli issued a statement on Saturday, confirming that former Peterborough United striker Ricky-Jade Jones has joined on a free transfer. As usual, the club did not disclose the length of the contract and specific details.

The 22-year-old Ricky-Jade Jones grew up in the Peterborough United youth training system and made his first-team debut in the EFL Championship against Arsenal U23 on October 1, 2019. To date, he has made 203 appearances for Peterborough United, scoring 41 goals and providing 12 assists, winning two EFL Championship titles with the team.

Regarding Jones' arrival, St. Pauli sports director Andreas Bornemann commented: "We are very happy to have convinced Ricky to join St. Pauli. Considering his age, he has a lot of experience in the professional arena and has performed consistently over the years. He is fast, plays concisely and has great tenacity.
