On October 16th , the NBA preseason continued, with the Charlotte Hornets defeating the Memphis Grizzlies 145-116. Bridges exploded for 29 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists. LaMelo Ball also performed well, contributing 23 points, 5 rebounds, and 8 assists to lead the team to a victory.
At the start of the game, the Hornets quickly got into the game, with Bridges on fire, scoring 15 points in a single quarter and hitting three three - pointers to help the team take the lead. At the end of the first quarter, the Hornets led 37-30 .
