The young midfielder said he will continue to remain humble and stressed that he still needs to work hard in daily training to improve his level and adapt to the pace of the top league. The 22-year-old Alejandro Rego admitted that his start at Athletic Bilbao has been better than he initially imagined.  

So far this season, the young midfielder has made six appearances for the club, totaling 156 minutes. Before the international break, he also scored his first senior goal against Real Mallorca at San Mamés.  

At the press conference, Alejandro Rego said: "My dream has come true. I made my debut, scored my first goal and played in the Champions League. It's all very special. My teammates gave me great support, which made it easier for me to adapt to the team and the rhythm of the game."  

Although Alejandro Rego is eager to get more playing time, he is also aware that the competition within the team is very fierce, and he is still adapting to the rhythm of the higher level of competition.  

Alejandro Rego added: "I know it won't be easy because the competition within the team is fierce. I have to keep improving every day and learn from others. This is what I am working on. I hope that when the opportunity comes, I will be fully prepared and can seize it."  

"Playing in the top league is not easy for everyone to adapt to. I am still working hard to integrate into the team's rhythm and hope to win more playing opportunities through continuous adjustments. The requirements here are very strict, but as I accumulate game experience, I am getting closer to this level step by step ."  

The Athletic Bilbao player thanked the public for the recognition he has received since joining the first team, while also emphasizing that he remains humble. "Everything has changed a lot, but I am still the same person," he said.  

"I'm really excited and I've received so much support, which means a lot to me. But I always remind myself to stay humble, and that's what's gotten me to where I am today. I know I haven't really achieved anything yet."
