Sevilla FC announced that Antonio Cordon has signed a three-year contract to replace Victor Horta as the new director of football.  

The new director started his career at Villarreal in the 1999-00 season and moved to Monaco after 17 years, winning the French Ligue 1 title with the team.  

After playing for AS Monaco for one season, he became the CEO of Hope Sports Group, which owns Granada, Parma, Chongqing Lifan and Tondela. During his tenure, he led Granada to promotion to Serie A within three seasons and qualified for the UEFA Europa League for the first time. At the same time, he successfully led Parma to promotion from Serie C to Serie A.  

Afterwards, Antonio Cordon moved to the Ecuadorian Football Association, but returned to Spain after only a few months of work and joined Real Betis. During his three years with Real Betis, the team won the 2021-22 Copa del Rey. After that, Antonio Cordon joined Olympiacos Football Club and helped the team win the UEFA Confederations Cup.  

Prior to this, he was the Director of Football at Five Eleven Capital. Antonio Cordon will join Sevilla in the coming days to start a new chapter in his career.
