Barcelona are about to begin their Copa del Rey title defense campaign, facing Guadalajara from the lower leagues in the Round of 32.

At the pre-match press conference, Barcelona coach Hansi Flick stated frankly that although the team is considered the favorite, what really matters is to deliver a performance commensurate with that on the pitch.

"We are the favorites, that's clear, but I want to see that on the field. We must show our strength through our performance," Flick emphasized. He stressed that paper advantage doesn't determine the outcome of a game, and the team must maintain the right attitude and high focus from the very beginning.

Flick said, "The key is how we approach this match and how we start. For me, that's the foundation for this round of elimination. If the attitude isn't right, the match will become very difficult. We must prove ourselves worthy of being the favorites with a strong desire to win and the right mindset."

Speaking about the team's current form, Flick acknowledged their recent performance while remaining rational and cautious. He stated, "We've made significant progress over the past four weeks, and we hope to continue along this path. But it's still a process; we haven't reached the finish line yet."

"We are now in the middle of the season and there is still a lot of potential to be tapped. The goal is to get better game by game, rather than rushing to conclusions."

When asked about the team's overall goals for the season, Flick answered without hesitation: "Of course we want to win the championship, and I believe the team has the quality to do so. But there's still a long way to go, and a lot of work needs to be done to achieve that."
