Bayern Munich confirmed on Thursday that they have parted ways with French right-back Sacha Boye, effective immediately. They will loan Boye to Turkish giants Galatasaray until the end of the 2025/26 season.
Regarding the loan, Bayern Munich sporting director Max Eberl explained: "Sasha previously played for Galatasaray before joining us, so he won't need much time to readjust to a familiar environment. He will benefit greatly from participating in high-level matches such as the Champions League play-off against Juventus and the Turkish Super League title race."
Galatasaray added that the deal includes a non-mandatory buy-out clause. They will also need to pay Bayern a €500,000 loan fee and cover Boy's salary of approximately €1.75 million.
Other reports indicate that Boy will wear the number 93 jersey during his loan spell.
The 25-year-old Boy started his career in Rennes' youth academy and transferred to Galatasaray in July 2021 for €5.65 million. He played for Galatasaray for two and a half years, making 83 appearances and contributing 4 goals and 4 assists, winning two Turkish Super League titles with the team.
However, Boyle's development has not met expectations since his €30 million transfer to Bayern Munich in January 2024. To date, he has only made 38 appearances for Bayern, scoring one goal and providing five assists, winning both the Bundesliga title and the German Super Cup with the team.
