Sky Sports' renowned Italian transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano exclusively reported through his paid column on Tuesday that Real Madrid's Brazil international striker wonderkid, Endrick, is close to joining Lyon on-loan.

In his column, Romano stated that Endrick has expressed to Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso and the club's management his desire to leave on-loan during the January transfer window to seek more consistent playing time and maintain his hopes of being selected for Brazil's World Cup squad next year.

Alonso has reportedly agreed to and approved the loan move, and Endrick's agent has already been approached by Lyon.

During their initial talks, Lyon has explained their plans to Endrick and his agent, reiterating to him their guarantee of starting opportunities.

As a lifelong fan of Karim Benzema, a legendary player for both clubs, Endrick is thrilled about the possibility of following in his footsteps and playing for both clubs.

Lyon has officially submitted a loan request to Real Madrid, and the two clubs are finalizing some details of the transfer.

If the deal goes through, Endrick will join the Ligue 1 powerhouse on-loan on January 1, 2026, the first day of the winter transfer window. The loan agreement will not include any option to buy.

After the loan spell ends, Endrick will return to Real Madrid's first team next summer.

Regarding rumours claiming that Manchester United, Marseille, Paris Saint-Germain, Aston Villa, and Liverpool are also interested in signing Endrick on-loan, Romano has categorically denied these claims.

He also stated that he had never confirmed any rumours linking Endrick to the aforementioned clubs, nor had any Premier League club made any approach with the player or Real Madrid. He suspect that his name had been used by malicious individuals to rumourmonger.

About Endrick

Born on July 21, 2006, in the Federal District of Taguatinga, Brazil, the 19-year-old Endrick is 1.73 meters tall and plays as a center forward.

Even before his official debut, Endrick's performances in Palmeiras' youth academy had already garnered significant attention from numerous top clubs, scouts, journalists, and fans worldwide.

Endrick made his first-team debut in October 2022, becoming the youngest player in Palmeiras' club history to do so.

During his two-and-a-half-year spell with Palmeiras, Endric won two Campeonato Brasileiro Série titles, two Campeonato Paulista titles, and one Copa do Brasil with the club.

In July 2024, Endrick joined Real Madrid for €60 million.

It's worth mentioning that Real Madrid and Palmeiras had already officially announced the transfer in the summer of 2022, stating it would be completed after Endrick turned 18.

Since becoming a member of Los Blancos, Endrick has made 38 appearances for the La Liga giants in all competitions so far, scoring 7 goals and providing 1 assist, winning one FIFA Intercontinental Cup and one UEFA Super Cup with the club.
