Former legendary Poland international goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski rejoined West Ham United..

West Ham United announced on their official website on Wednesday that former legendary Poland international goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski, has rejoined the club.

According to a West Ham United's official statement, Fabianski has signed on a short-term deal which runs until the end of the current season.

Separately, according to The Athletic's resident renowned English transfer journalist, the Hammers were short on reserve goalkeepers after Wes Foderingham unexpectedly left to join Cypriot club Aris Limassol on a free transfer the previous day. Thus they immediately approached and re-signed Fabianski.

After completing the signing procedures, Fabianski, who was interviewed by the West Ham United official website again, said, "I'm really, really happy to be back because this club means so much to me and the people there. It's wonderful to see them again."

"I always have, and I certainly will, always put the interests of the team above my own. I think people will probably see me as a great guy to be around, a great guy to be with because of what I can contribute. So, it's not just for myself, but for the team as well."

"I'm here to support the team and maintain a high level. I have a lot of experience, so I think that will be helpful. Of course, I'll continue to work the way I've always worked and hopefully maintain that level, but at the same time, I understand that my role is completely different."

It's worth noting that after leaving West Ham United this summer, Fabianski, who returned to Poland, had spent the past two months catching up with his former national team teammates and teaching football to children in the local community.
