February 16th - The newly revamped All-Star Game officially kicked off. The veteran-led Team Stripes narrowly defeated Team Stars 42-40 thanks to a buzzer-beating three-pointer from Dejounte Fox, securing their first win in the round-robin tournament. For Team Stars, Edwards and Cunningham each contributed 11 points, but unfortunately, they couldn't hold onto their lead.
At the start of the game, the Stripes relied on three-pointers from James, Durant, and Leonard in the first three minutes, while Jaylen Brown also scored frequently with difficult turnaround jumpers and powerful dunks. Defensively, the Stripes displayed aggressive pressure. Midway through the game, Leonard made a hook shot, and Brown hit another three-pointer, giving the Stripes an 8- point lead.
However, the Stars, led by Cunningham and Edwards, fought back tenaciously. With two minutes remaining, James hit a crucial three-pointer to keep the Stripes alive, but Edwards immediately responded with a layup and a three-pointer to take the lead with 20 seconds left. Ultimately, the Stripes, through teamwork, had Fox hit a buzzer-beating three-pointer to seal the victory. The Stripes narrowly defeated the Stars 42-40.
