Glasgow Rangers have announced Dan Purdy as their new technical director. The former Everton recruitment director will take over from Nils Koppen, who has left the club after 18 months.
At the same time, the club's new sporting director Kevin Serwell has also officially taken office, also from Everton. His arrival marks a further reshaping of Rangers' senior structure.
The personnel changes come just days after an American investment consortium, led by Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises, completed its takeover of Rangers.
"A lot of preparation has already been done within the club before I officially take up my post, and from today, this process will be greatly accelerated. The first task is to find a new head coach for our men's first team," said Serwell.
"The appointment is progressing steadily and we hope to complete the relevant work in the next few days."
"This is a new chapter for Rangers. We know success will never come easy, but the goal is clear: to win."
“I will devote myself to driving the club forward with rigor and ambition. We will spare no effort to achieve breakthroughs as soon as possible while ensuring sustainable development.”
