Jared Branthwaite has signed a new five-year contract with Everton which will last until the end of June 2030, marking a long-term commitment for him.  

The 23-year-old moved to Everton from his hometown club Carlisle United in January 2020. After being loaned to Blackburn Rovers and PSV Eindhoven, he has been a key member of Everton's defence over the past two seasons.  

As one of the core players in Everton's defense, Jared Branthwaite has helped the team maintain the fourth-best defensive record in England's top league in the past two Premier League seasons.  

After making a breakthrough for the men's senior team in the 2023-24 season, he was named the club's Player of the Season and Young Player of the Season. Last season, he won the Young Player of the Season title again with 89% of the fan vote.  

After signing the new contract, Jared Branthwaite told Everton TV: "I'm very happy. We have been talking about this since the end of the season and now it's finally done, I'm particularly excited. The club's trust in me, coupled with the accumulation of my appearances in the past two seasons, made me decide without hesitation to stay and continue to improve myself."
