England U21 defeated Andorra U21 1-0 in the group stage of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship after Tyreek George found the net. Coach Lee Carsley said he and the team are continuing to get to know the players and urged the team not to take the victory for granted.

In the 41st minute of the first half, Gittens assisted Tyreek George to score, helping England U21 take the lead 1-0.

The score remained unchanged, with England U21 ultimately defeating Andorra U21 1-0 at home. With three consecutive wins, England U21 currently sits second in Group D with nine points.

England U21 coach Lee Carsley said in an interview, "We can't take victory for granted after getting these three points. We had a lot of positive performances in this game, just like when we played against Moldova U21 a few days ago."

"We got some players who weren't playing much on the court to play, and we spent time with the players, getting to know them and their personalities off the court, which is important fundamental work. Considering how long we've been with this team, this is the third time we've faced a low-post defense. To be able to score three points in a game like this again, I think it's worth a reward."

Lee Carsley said: "Ideally we would have liked to have scored more goals, but credit must also be given to Andorra U21. We created about five good chances and we should have scored one or two more."

"We are trying to understand these players and find out their current form and confidence, as well as the rhythm they need in the game. Some players need more playing time, while others have played more games. What we can do is give them such opportunities, but we cannot fully control how much playing time they get."

When talking about Josh King who plays for Fulham, Lee Carsley said, "I think he performed very well and impressed me, not only in his performance at the club, but also in his performance for the national team. We have to keep reminding ourselves that he is only 18 years old. He has great talent and potential, and we must protect him well. This does not mean that he has to play every game."

"It's important that he's in good shape when he returns to the club. That's the important balance for young players."
