Mateo Mejia moves to Burgos

Sevilla FC and Burgos CF have reached an agreement on the transfer of striker Mateo Mejia, and the player will officially join Burgos.
The 22-year-old Mateo Mejia is a member of the Colombian U20 national team. In January 2024, he transferred from Manchester United U21 team to Nervion as a free agent, injecting fresh offensive power into Sevilla Athletic.
In the first half of the season, Mateo Mejia played 16 times in the Spanish Second Division, scored 4 goals and provided 1 assist, contributing to the team's winning of the league championship and successful promotion to La Liga. In the previous season of the Spanish Third Division, he played 31 games, scored 7 goals and contributed 1 assist, showing a stable offensive efficiency.
It is worth mentioning that Mateo Mejia entered the first-team list for the first time on September 29 and made his debut in the match against Athletic Bilbao at the San Mamés Stadium under the leadership of Xavi García Pimienta.
