Newly promoted Serie A side Pisa announced on Wednesday that Colombian veteran Juan Cuadrado has signed from Atalanta on a free transfer. The two sides have signed a one-year contract valid until June 30, 2026.

The 37-year-old Cuadrado primarily plays as a right midfielder, but can also operate at right winger, right back, and other positions. He made his debut at Independiente Medellín in Colombia before moving on to Udinese, Lecce, Fiorentina, Chelsea, Juventus, Inter Milan, and Atalanta.

According to Transfermarkt, Cuadrado has made 538 club appearances to date, including 67 Champions League matches, 19 Europa League matches, 395 Serie A matches, and 13 Premier League matches. He has scored 55 goals and provided 93 assists, winning one Premier League title, one League Cup, six Serie A titles, four Coppa Italia titles, and two Italian Super Cups.

Cuadrado's move to Pisa is primarily aimed at maintaining his form in the top flight and preparing for next year's World Cup. He was a key member of the Colombian national team, having played with them at five Copa América tournaments (2011, 2015, 2016, 2019, 2021) and two World Cups (2014, 2018).

During this period, Cuadrado made 116 appearances for Colombia, scoring 11 goals and providing 20 assists. However, he has not been called up to the national team since September 2023.
