The 18th round of the 2025/26 Premier League season saw Manchester United, playing at Old Trafford, defeat Newcastle 1-0 after Patrick Doughoo scored a goal.

Three minutes into the game, Manchester United attacked from a corner kick. Casemiro rose to head the ball, but it went over the goal. In the 10th minute, Patrick Dogu crossed the ball from the right wing, but Sheskov's shot went wide.

In the 13th minute, Newcastle won a corner. Lewis Hall delivered the ball into the penalty area, and Guimarães headed it towards goal, but it was saved by Manchester United goalkeeper Lamens. In the 16th minute, Malik Ghav received a pass from Lewis Milley and shot, but the ball deflected and went over the goal.

In the 24th minute, Dalot kicked the ball into the penalty area, Walter Madd attempted to clear it, and Patrick Dougher received the ball in the box before unleashing a powerful shot that found the back of the net, giving Manchester United a 1-0 lead. In the 28th minute, Manchester United continued their attack, with Patrick Dougher receiving a pass from his teammate near the edge of the penalty area before taking a long-range shot, but the ball was caught by Newcastle goalkeeper Ramsdale.

In the 34th minute, Cunha made a diagonal pass from the center circle, Patrick Dogu received the ball and entered the penalty area before firing a low shot, but it was blocked by Newcastle goalkeeper Ramsdale. In the 42nd minute, Newcastle attempted a counter-attack, but it was cleared by Patrick Dogu.

At the start of the second half, Manchester United substituted Jack Fletcher for Mount. In the 50th minute, Newcastle's corner kick was cleared, and Fabian Schär controlled the ball in the penalty area before shooting, but the ball was blocked by Manchester United goalkeeper Lamens.

In the 60th minute, Manchester United regained possession and launched an attack. Sheshko received the ball and entered the penalty area, taking a shot, but the ball hit the post. In the 62nd minute, Newcastle launched a counter-attack. Lewis Hall received the ball, broke through the defense, and took a long-range shot, but the ball hit the post and bounced out.

In the 73rd minute, Manchester United took a free kick. Dalot received the ball in the penalty area, dealt with the defense, and shot, but the ball went over the goal. In the 85th minute, Newcastle created an attacking opportunity. Gordon received a pass back from Harvey Barnes and fired a shot, but the ball went high.

Manchester United ultimately defeated Newcastle United 1-0 at home.
