Frankfurt's sporting director, Timo Hardon, also spoke highly of Keita Kosugi. He stated, "By bringing in Keita Kosugi, we have signed a young left-back. He not only possesses excellent ball control skills but also a wide coverage area and high work efficiency. He has already demonstrated his ability as a regular starter in the Swedish league and European competitions and has enormous potential for development."
Keita Kosugi came through the Shonan Bellmare youth academy and officially transferred to Djurgården in the Swedish Allsvenskan in March 2024. To date, he has made 62 appearances for Djurgården, scoring 5 goals and providing 7 assists.
