England will travel to Andorra in the 2026 World Cup qualifying group K match. Tuchel said his team must bring strong offensive energy to the game and not let up at all.
In the second round of qualifying, England defeated Latvia 3-0 at Wembley Stadium with goals from Reece James, Kane and Eze. After two consecutive wins, England currently ranks first in the K group standings with 6 points.
England coach Tuchel said, "The initiative of this game is in our hands. We need to drive the rhythm and bring vitality, and show a strong desire to attack, and we must always maintain this state without slacking off. I fully understand that it is not easy to play the national team game at this point in time, and the players have just finished their vacation and walked out of a long and tiring season. Now they have to get back into the role. This is indeed challenging. But I feel from the team that they are willing to come here."
"We are still in the running-in stage. This is only our second training session, but I have confidence in the team and believe that we can get the desired results. We want to win, and we want to win cleanly and without suspense. This is what we expect of ourselves."
Tuchel continued, "Don't expect a clear lead or a lot of opportunities in the first 10 to 20 minutes of the game, and then get frustrated or lose patience because you don't score immediately. This is a World Cup qualifier. You must respect your opponents, their strength and defensive ability. You must also know that it is never easy to break the opponent's defense."
In addition, England will participate in a friendly match against Senegal next week, after which some players will participate in the 2025 Club World Cup.
Tuchel said, "If we think about the game against Senegal and the World Club Cup later, we will lose focus. We have to take it step by step, and tomorrow we will send out a strong starting lineup. We believe this is the lineup that can control the game to the greatest extent at present."
"After the match, we will make plans for the match against Senegal and then consider the players who will be participating in the World Cup. But now, we will only focus on the World Cup qualifiers."
