AFP reported on Monday that UEFA has postponed its final decision on whether to revoke Crystal Palace and Lyon of their Europa League qualifications for next season.

The final decision will depend on whether the English Football Association approves Johnson's takeover and whether Textor will continue to hold important decision-making power in Crystal Palace's management after that.

If Lyon's appeal fails, UEFA will cite violations of the Financial Fair Play (FFP) to revoke Lyon of its qualification and restore Crystal Palace's qualification.

However, since Nottingham Forest, who finished 7th in the league, is considering filing a lawsuit because they believe it is unfair that they can only qualify for the Conference League next season due to Crystal Palace's involvement in the saga, the above situation may not really become the Eagles' final decision on whether they can qualify for the Europa League.
