Alejandro Ganaccio believes Chelsea can perform better after their narrow Champions League group stage victory over Bayern Munich, and he promised the team will learn from the 3-1 defeat to better prepare for the upcoming campaign.  

Chelsea started brightly in Bavaria but fell into a two-goal deficit early on. Although Cole Palmer equalised just before half-time, in his 100th appearance for the club, Bayern Munich found the net again in the second half to secure a 3-1 victory.  

Alejandro Ganacho joined the team at the end of the transfer window and was substituted in the final 20 minutes of the Champions League opener. The winger stated that despite the team's winless performance, they showed great potential. He emphasized that the team needs to learn from the defeat in Munich and prepare for the upcoming league season.  

Alejandro Ganaccio said: "This defeat will be a valuable experience for us. I think we played well overall, but Bayern Munich is a very strong opponent and we played at home today."  

“I think this is just the first Champions League game of the whole season and we look at it with that mentality. Although we always want to win, the season is still long and the journey to promotion continues. The next two games are at home and we must fight for six points and continue to move towards our goal.”  

“I am honored to represent the club in the Champions League. This is a top competition that all players are eager to participate in. Although this defeat is disappointing, the season is still long and we will prepare for the next games and strive to advance.”  

The 21-year-old is adamant his team have what it takes to compete with any opponent in the competition, and he singled out Chelsea's recent Club World Cup triumph over reigning European champions Paris Saint-Germain as proof of their competitiveness.  

Alejandro Ganaccio continued: "A few months ago, we beat Paris Saint-Germain in the Club World Cup, which proved our determination. We don't just come to participate, but to win. Our goal is to win every game, but the Champions League season is long and there are still many games waiting for us. We have plenty of time to strive for qualification, which is what we are going to do our best."  

It's been a busy few days for Alejandro Ganaccio, who made his club debut against Brentford before making his European debut in Munich. Speaking about his time at Chelsea, Ganaccio said he is enjoying his new surroundings at Cobham.  

He said: "I am still trying to get to know each coach and teammates, but I am very happy to join here. I still need more playing time and training. I think we played well, but Bayern Munich is a very strong team."
