Carlo Ancelotti said on Saturday that he would not respond to any rumours regarding his future before May 25.

Ancelotti, 65, has coached many top clubs. He has also led AC Milan, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich to win two Champions League titles, one Club World Cup title, two European Super Cup titles, one Serie A title, one Italian Cup title, one Italian Super Cup title, one Premier League title, one FA Cup title, one Community Shield title, one Ligue 1 title, one Bundesliga title and two German Super Cup titles. He is regarded as one of the most influential Italian coaches today.

With Real Madrid losing to Arsenal in the Champions League quarterfinals, Ancelotti's departure is almost certain. There are speculations that he will take over the Brazilian national team this summer, but no confirmation has been obtained from the person concerned.

At the pre-match press conference against Celta at the weekend, Ancelotti once again responded to the rumors about coaching the Brazilian national team. He said: "I have great respect for Real Madrid, my players and fans. Because of my respect, I will not talk about the future before May 25."
