Andy King saw plenty of positives from Leicester City's 180 minutes of pre-season action against Al-Ohawali on Saturday, as they ran out 2-1 winners.  

The match was divided into four phases, each lasting 45 minutes, allowing the team to rotate three different lineups, with each group of players getting a full hour of playing time. For Ohawali and Leicester City, this was a very valuable practice match.  

Andy King said: "This was a very exciting match and of course a long afternoon. I want to pay special tribute to the fans who stayed until the end. They stayed with us for nearly four hours in the hot sun and deserved the applause. I know our players are very grateful for this."  

"This game has given the players a boost and the overall feeling is very positive. Of course, all this requires time to continue to run-in and train. Although our only injury is Victor Christiansen, the situation does not look optimistic at the moment."  

"At this stage of the pre-season, to get an hour of game time for all 29 players is very meaningful. I am very happy with the performances of some players and some of the things the team showed. But at the same time, we still have room for improvement in some aspects.  

"We are very aware of this, but in terms of only two weeks of training, the players' commitment and training quality are top-notch. We have always emphasized that the goal of the pre-season is not result-oriented, but to help the team adapt to the rhythm of the game, accumulate strength, and maintain a good state and motivation at the start of the new season."  

"Goals can boost the players' confidence. The team performed very well in some aspects, but it also exposed some areas that still need improvement."
