Alavés is making the final push for their opening match of the 2025-26 La Liga season, facing Levante at the Estadio Mendizorroca. Speaking to the media ahead of the match, Antonio Silvera discussed pre-season preparations, the team's efforts, and the challenges of their first competitive match.  

Antonio Silvera said: "This preseason is very physical and the training plan is very clear. The coach hopes to build a team with outstanding physical qualities. I am honored to have Raul join the team. His rich experience will definitely have a positive impact. We get along well, and I believe the team can learn a lot from him."  

"We know the team still has room for improvement and we believe we can make a good start in the new season. In the first game, we will give our all to win."  

Speaking about the changes to the opening match, the goalkeeper said: "This is a completely common sense decision. It is the best arrangement for the fans and for us, so everyone will enjoy the game more."  

"Pre-season is very different from La Liga. As a first game, we usually adopt a more conservative strategy, but the whole team wants to win. Now, we have nothing to lose and we hope to play exciting football."
