Arsenal released an official announcement on Saturday, confirming that 27-year-old English striker Eberechi Eze has officially joined the club. Eze transferred from Crystal Palace and has signed a "4+1" contract with Arsenal.

According to multiple sources, the transfer fee is £60 million, which can reach up to £67.5 million after taking into account the floating clause. Other sources also said that Eze will wear the number 10 jersey of Arsenal.

Regarding Eze's joining, Arsenal's sporting director Andrea Berta said: "We are very pleased to have completed this deal and brought Eberechi to Arsenal. Eberechi is a talented, creative and explosive player with superb skills. He is also a big-game player. His experience with the England national team also fully demonstrates his strength and character."

"This transfer is the result of a collaborative effort across the club. We are confident that Eberechi will be a key addition to our squad and help us continue our path to success."

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta added: "We are delighted to welcome Eberechi to Arsenal. He is a player full of energy and passion who can bring a new dimension to our attack. Eze joined Arsenal's youth academy at the age of 9 but was released by the club in 2011. He subsequently trained with several teams including Fulham, Reading and Millwall, and made his professional debut for Queens Park Rangers in the FA Cup on January 11, 2017.

In August 2020, Eze moved to Crystal Palace for £17 million. To date, he has made 169 appearances for Crystal Palace, scoring 40 goals and providing 28 assists, winning both the FA Cup and the Community Shield.

With his outstanding performance at the club level, Eze has been selected for the England national team since June 2023. To date, he has made 12 appearances for the Three Lions and contributed 1 goal.
