Arsenal have signed goalkeeper David Raya to a new contract, BBC football correspondent Sammy Mokbel reported on Tuesday.
Raya's current contract at Arsenal is due to expire in 2028, with a weekly salary of £100,000. According to Mokbel, the new contract is expected to remain the same, but with a slight salary increase.
Mokbel also understands that Arsenal has included an option to extend the contract.
Raya is not the only Arsenal player to receive a similar offer. Leandro Trossard also signed a new contract this summer with a salary increase but the same contract terms, including an option to extend.
The 30-year-old Raya was born in Barcelona, Spain, and played for Blackburn Rovers and Brentford at the beginning of his career. He completed 54 clean sheets in 161 games for Brentford and attracted the attention of Arsenal with his outstanding performance.
In August 2023, Raya moved to Arsenal on a loan-to-buy basis. He quickly established himself as a key player at Arsenal, making 105 appearances and keeping 45 clean sheets.
