Bochum 1848 Football Club announced that it has renewed the contract with key striker Philipp Hofmann, with the new contract running until June 30, 2028. As a key offensive force, Philipp Hofmann will continue to play in the blue and white jersey. This contract extension demonstrates the club's high regard for his professionalism and contributions, and also demonstrates the player's deep affection for Bochum and its fans.  

Since joining Bochum in the summer of 2022, Philipp Hofmann has quickly adapted to the team's technical and tactical system, gradually becoming a core force in the attack. To date, he has played 110 official matches for the club, scoring 31 goals, and has repeatedly made contributions to the team at crucial moments, helping the team to gain valuable points.  

Bochum's general manager, Ilya Kahnziger, said: "Philip Hofmann is a player who can play a leadership role both on and off the field. He always leads by example, fights for the team with all his strength, and puts the collective interests first. He scored many key goals, especially his performance in the 2024 play-off against Fortuna Düsseldorf, which has become a classic moment in the club's history. In addition, his influence in the locker room is equally indispensable."
