Premier League club Manchester United officially announced that Cameroonian international Bryan Mbeumo has officially joined the team.

The 25-year-old striker has signed a contract with Manchester United until June 2030, with the option to extend for one year, with the transfer subject to completion of the registration process.

Mbeumo joined Championship club Brentford from Troyes in August 2019 for a club record transfer fee of £5.8 million at the time. During his five years at Brentford, he gradually grew into the team's offensive core and helped the team successfully win promotion to the Premier League in the 2020–21 season, opening a new chapter in the team's history.

Since Brentford was promoted to the Premier League, Mbeumo has contributed stable output for three consecutive seasons, averaging 18 goals per season. In the 2023-24 season, he scored 20 goals and provided 8 assists, becoming the fourth top scorer in the Premier League.

After completing the transfer, Mbeumo said emotionally: "When I learned that I had the opportunity to join Manchester United, I did not hesitate. This is the team I have supported since I was a child. The memories of wearing the Manchester United jersey when I was a child are still vivid."

Mbeumo will make his Manchester United debut on the pre-season tour of the United States, preparing for the upcoming new season with his new teammates.
