Cambiaggi, who was selected for the Italian national team for the first time, took Chiesa and Insigne as his role models

The 24-year-old Cambiaggi was called up to the Italian national team for the first time earlier. In an interview, the striker said that he admired both Chiesa and Insigne very much.

Italy, coached by Gennaro Gattuso, will travel to Estonia in the next round of European qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup. Currently ranked second in Group I with a score of 9, Italy defeated Israel 5-4 in the previous round, securing their third consecutive victory, thanks to goals from Kean, Politano, Raspadori, and Tonali.

Cambiaggi, who currently plays for Bologna in Serie A, said: "I am very proud to be here. This is a dream come true, but it is also a new starting point because this is my first call-up and I will try my best to enjoy it."

"I suffered a serious injury last season, but I recovered well from February to March. I was focused on my recovery and felt the support of the team. Everything went smoothly without any complications. I completed pre-season training successfully and got game time."

Speaking about Bologna coach Vincenzo Italiano, Cambiaggi said, "I am very grateful to the coach. He really wanted me to join and was patient in waiting for my recovery. I was able to play to my strengths thanks in large part to his innovative and excellent tactical ideas, and the coach attaches great importance to the role of wingers."

As for his personal role models, Cambiaggi said, "When I watch a match, I always analyse the players who play in my position. Lorenzo Insigne and Chiesa are undoubtedly the two players I admire the most. I like them very much, but there are many other players I learn from and draw inspiration from."
