Valencia CF head coach Carlos Colberán gave a post-match review of the team's 1-0 victory over Getafe in the 20th round of La Liga, sharing his views on the team's performance and form.  

Carlos Colberán said: "I really cherish José Luis Gaya's goal, which perfectly showcased the spirit of Valencia. He is a passionate player who withstands pressure in adversity and celebrates joyfully when victorious. Most importantly, this goal earned us three points. Such a shot is very unusual for a full-back, and it's a real treat to watch him score."  

When discussing Cesar Tarrega's injury, Carlos Colberán said, "The swelling will cause discomfort, but the body will need to absorb it on its own. It's not a serious injury and it won't get worse. He's been playing with an injury since the Gijón Cup, and today he injured his other knee. We will monitor its impact on him."  

“Unfortunately, we lost Júlén Ahirezawala, Mukhtar Diakhaby, Thierry Correa and Kommel in recent weeks. Herre traveled with the team to the away game but was not included in the substitutes, and we only had Panach available at that time. We decided to play Pepelou in defense, although it is not his familiar position, but he showed great fighting spirit and stepped up in difficult times, which made us very proud.”  

"This isn't about relief; it's about us having to win. The desire and the determination to achieve good results are just as strong. In some games, we were just one step away from getting more points, and today's victory is another testament to the team's efforts. The game wasn't perfect, but we showed tenacity against a team that was eager to win, which makes me appreciate the team's character even more."  

"Komert's injury isn't his hamstring, but his hip, which means he has insufficient blood supply to his hamstring, so his rehabilitation plan will need to be different. His previous recovery wasn't ideal, which is why he wasn't selected. Diakhaby, Thierry, and Jullen have all suffered hamstring injuries, and we certainly don't want any more injuries to the team. Injuries can be divided into those during matches and those in training. Fortunately, only Ramazzani has been injured in training recently, while Laba has been suffering from Achilles tendon discomfort since the Sporting Gijón vs. Sporting Lisbon match."  

“The match was tough, and the pitch was a bit slippery, but I really appreciated the team’s fighting spirit and tenacity. We created some chances and finally broke the deadlock with a quick counter-attack.”  

“We must focus on what the team did well; we deserved more points. We need to continue working hard to score and improve our ranking; that’s our responsibility. I value this victory more than who the opponent was. I appreciate the resilience the team showed and how they coped with difficulties after losing a center-back. I believe this team is fully capable of getting more points.”
