Valencia head coach Carlos Corberán gave a speech to the media after the team lost 1-2 to Girona away.  

Carlos Corberán said: "The first half was quite difficult for us overall. First of all, Mouctar Diakhaby's injury had a significant impact on the team. We struggled to find an effective way to break through Girona's defense on the offensive end, and despite their opponents having few chances, they took the lead with one attack. Fortunately, our form improved before halftime, and after entering the second half, the team's tacit understanding in cooperation was significantly improved."  

"We deployed two full-backs to attack from the flanks, showing great mobility and gaining an advantage in this area. It was thanks to this style of play that we managed to equalize the score. However, there was a problem defending a set-piece afterwards, and the opponent scored again. Facing similar situations, we must work harder. We lost points in this game, and that's the reality. Some details in the game prevented us from getting the desired result."  

"The dynamics of the game depend on the team's performance. Only by improving performance can we achieve better results. There are no shortcuts. We didn’t choose to drop deep as long as we could launch an attack quickly. When we won the ball back in the opposition half, we had to rely on our pace to counterattack, as we did for the second goal against Getafe. We have to keep strengthening this style of play, as it’s an essential part of our team’s style.”
