Brentford released a statement on Thursday confirming that Dutch midfielder Anthony Milambo has officially joined from Feyenoord. The two parties signed a contract until June 30, 2030, with an option for a one-year extension.
As for Anthony Milanbo's transfer fee, Mirror reporter Ryan Taylor estimated that the amount was about 17 million pounds. If the floating clause is included, the total transaction amount is 21.25 million pounds.
The 20-year-old Milanbo came from Feyenoord's youth training and made his professional debut for the first team in the Europa League on August 12, 2021. To date, he has made 60 appearances for Feyenoord, scored 8 goals and provided 9 assists, and won the Eredivisie championship, the Dutch Cup and the Dutch Super Cup with the team.
Following the transfer, Brentford technical director Lee Dykes said: "We are very excited about the arrival of Anthony Milambo. The scouting department has been following Anthony for several years and has closely followed his growth from the youth training all the way to the first team at Feyenoord."
“We believe Anthony has all the qualities required to be a great Premier League player and has the potential to take his game to the next level in England.”
"Anthony is a technically skilled, attacking-minded midfielder. He is capable of scoring all types of goals and has proven this at youth level, in the Eredivisie and in the Champions League."
“We would like to thank the Feyenoord management for their support and professionalism throughout the process of bringing Anthony to us.”
Brentford manager Keith Andrews went on to add: "Anthony has played a lot of games over the past 12 months and has quickly come to the fore. He has experience in the Eredivisie and the Champions League, and recently represented the Netherlands at the U21 European Championship."
"I really like the way Anthony dribbles the ball and has the ability to break through the opposition defence and threaten the goal directly. He will be a good complement to the midfield players we already have."
"Now we have to help him adapt as quickly as possible to the intensity and pace of the Premier League and the intensity level of our team. I am very much looking forward to working with him."
