Eden Hazard admits it was a great feeling to be back at Stamford Bridge with so many fans

Eden Hazard expressed his gratitude for the chance to see his former teammates and Chelsea fans again as he returned to Stamford Bridge with the Chelsea Legends squad. The Belgian star was returning to west London and stepping onto the Stamford Bridge turf for the first time since leaving the club in 2019 as a two-time Premier League champion.

Eden Hazard was one of the former Chelsea stars in the Chelsea Legends squad against Liverpool and expressed his delight at being reunited with old friends. The squad included many of his former Chelsea teammates – Gary Cahill, John Terry, Petr Cech, Ramires, John Mikel Obi – and Diego Costa, who showed his trademark competitive spirit, earning a yellow card after a heated challenge with Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel.

Eden Hazard smiled and said: "Of course, Diego Costa is still the same, everyone can see that. It's really great to be back with these brothers, to see them again and play side by side. It feels good to be back here and see many familiar faces. As you can see, the game against Liverpool is not easy, but this is the exciting match that the fans want to see."

However, what excited the Chelsea fans on the scene the most was undoubtedly the return of Eden Hazard. After all, they had named him the club's player of the year at least four times, and this deep affection was mutual.

He said: "I feel I can still play for a while. Although I haven't played football for two years, it is still a great feeling to be back at Stamford Bridge and be with all these fans. I do miss playing in such a big stadium, but now I often play with the children in the garden, so it's not bad. I have five children and they are all Chelsea fans."
