Everton manager David Moyes admits he regrets the draw

Everton manager David Moyes admitted his disappointment at not being able to take all three points as they drew 2-2 with Ipswich Town in their penultimate home Premier League match at Goodison Park.

In the first half of the game, Everton took the lead by two goals, but was equalized by Ipswich City in the second half and could not win. In the press conference after the game, Moyes reviewed the game and said: "It's a pity that we didn't get 3 points."

“We started very well and showed a lot of highlights in the game. We controlled a lot of the ball and the two goals were completely deserved by us. But Ipswich Town is a flexible team, starting with the goalkeeper and advancing layer by layer. We coped well in the first half.”

Facing the opponent's counterattack, Everton was once equalized. Moyes mentioned that one of the goals conceded was due to lax defense: "Of course, the opponent's goal was of high quality, and we have to admit that it was a wonderful shot."

"I felt like in the second half we had more possession and were basically the dominant side of the game, and we made a lot of good crosses and balls into the box, but we still didn't have enough shots. We really didn't do enough to completely win the game."

Although the result was not satisfactory, Moyes still affirmed the support of the fans and the efforts of the players, saying: "The atmosphere on the scene was unforgettable, and the scene when the players came on the field was very moving. Yes, we and the fans want to win, but I believe everyone also sees some hope."

"We are not a relegation team, relegation is a foregone conclusion, this is very important. The players have done a good job. Our problem now is that we can't always hold on to the advantage when we lead 2-0 at home, which is what we must improve next."
