Fiorentina announced on its official website on Thursday that the club has extended the contract of its young Italy U21s international defender Pietro Comuzzo.

According to Fiorentina's official statement, Comuzzo has signed on a new long-term four-year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2029, with an option of to extend for a further year.

About Pietro Comuzzo

Comuzzo, who is only 20 years old, was born on February 20, 2005 in San Daniele del Friuli, Italy. He is 1.85 meters tall and plays as a center back. His twin brother Francesco is also a footballer, but currently plays in the non-league.

Comuzzo joined the youth academy of amateur league club Tricesimo at the age of 6. Later, he also played ifor the Udinese and Pordenone youth academies. In 2018, he joined the Fiorentina youth academy and completed his Fiorentina first-team debut by coming on as a substitute in October 2023.

Since his debut, Comuzzo has played 48 times for the Serie A powerhouse in all competitions, without scoring any goals or assists, and has reached the UEFA Conference League semi-finals once with the club.
