Former Italy coach Luciano Spalletti has officially taken over as manager of Juventus, with his term lasting until June 2026.

Juventus officially announced on Thursday that Luciano Spalletti will succeed Igor Tudor as the first-team manager, effective immediately. He will coach Juventus until June 30, 2026, with an automatic one-year extension if the team qualifies for the Champions League.
The club concluded its announcement by saying, "We are delighted to welcome such a professional and experienced coach to the Juventus family. Welcome to Juventus, and best of luck, Coach!"
This appointment to Juventus marks Spalletti's return to football after a four-month hiatus. He was dismissed as national team coach in June of this year after failing to lead Italy to direct qualification for the 2026 World Cup.
According to the Italian newspaper *La Repubblica*, Spalletti's annual salary at Juventus is €3 million, with an undisclosed bonus. His primary task upon taking over is to lead Juventus back on track: the team had a poor start to the season, even going eight games without a win in all competitions. They currently sit 7th in Serie A with 15 points (4 wins, 3 draws, 2 losses), three points behind the Champions League qualification zone.
The 66-year-old Spalletti has managed numerous teams, including Empoli, Sampdoria, Venezia, Udinese, Ancona, Roma, Zenit, Inter Milan, and Napoli, leading them to one Serie A title, two Coppa Italia titles, one Italian Super Cup, two Russian Premier League titles, one Russian Cup, and one Russian Super Cup. Including his record with the Italian national team, he has accumulated 530 wins, 244 draws, and 251 losses in his coaching career.
