Juventus have officially announced the successful signing of winger Jeremie Boga on loan from Ligue 1 side Nice. The Ivorian international will play for the Bianconeri until June 30, 2026.
For Serie A fans, the name Boga is no stranger. Born in 1997, the attacker came through Chelsea's youth academy, but his true calling came in Italy. After joining Sassuolo in 2018, Boga quickly developed into one of the most lethal wingers in Serie A.
Boga is known for his explosive power, skillful dribbling, and exceptional one-on-one ability, which has given countless Serie A defenders a real headache. During his time with Sassuolo and Atalanta, he gained extensive experience in Serie A and European competitions.
In the summer of 2023, Boga transferred to Nice in Ligue 1. During his time at Nice, he made 73 appearances, contributing 11 goals and 9 assists, showcasing his highly creative and unpredictable attacking talent.
Furthermore, as a core member of the Ivory Coast national team, Boga helped the team win the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations held on home soil, bringing home the championship honor and demonstrating his crucial role in major tournaments.
The signing of Boga is seen as a crucial acquisition for Juventus to bolster their attacking dynamism. The club stated that Boga's arrival will inject much-needed speed and flair into the team's attack. As a player capable of instantly changing the course of a game, he is expected to enrich Juventus' tactical system and enhance the team's capabilities on the flanks.
