Jørgen Strand-Larsen: We need to reflect on ourselves and see what we can do better

Jürgen Strand-Larsen admitted that the mood in the Wolves dressing room had hit rock bottom following the defeat to Burnley. As the team's winless streak continued, Burnley's injury-time winner secured all three points at Molineux, much to the disappointment of the home fans.

The striker, who scored his first Premier League goal of the season, said he understood the fans' concerns but stressed the team needed to introspect, identify areas for improvement and work harder to turn the season around.

After the game, Jurgen Strand-Larsen said: "Football is like this. This is why we love it and why we sometimes hate it. But now, we are all disappointed. At this moment, it is not easy for us as Wolves players or fans. I want to apologize to all the fans who have always supported us because we have not been able to repay their expectations."

"We started slowly today and our performance wasn't ideal, but as the game progressed, we gradually found our rhythm and played more entertaining football. The team controlled the tempo of the game and created a number of chances. Judging from our overall performance, we deserved to win this game, but the current situation prevented us from doing so."

"There's not much to explain about the result of this game. We are all very disappointed. This is one of the worst feelings I've had in a long time. But the positive thing is that the season is still long and we still have 29 games to play. We have to keep going and keep believing in ourselves."

"We need to check in with each other and stay positive. Everyone has to reflect and see what they can do better. I know I'm not at the same level as last season yet and I'm working hard to get back to that level. Although it's nice to score goals, it's not the most important thing in the current situation."

Speaking about the fans, Jürgen Strand-Larsen said: "Sometimes fans need to express their frustration and I completely understand that. I won't ask them to keep trusting us now because we don't deserve that trust yet. All we can do is believe in ourselves and keep working hard. I will listen to them because their emotions are real. Although the current situation is frustrating, we understand how they feel."

"We have tried our best, and we were unlucky in this game. But the fact is that we lost to a team we shouldn't have lost to, and we didn't get a single point. We understand the fans' disappointment. However, within the team, we are still trying to stay positive and believe in the direction of the team. We will listen carefully to the opinions, continue to improve, and strive to perform well in the next games. This is the only thing we can do now."

"Since I joined this club, I have given my all from the first minute and so have my teammates. We are all trying to seize every opportunity and do our best to help the team."

"Since last year, the team's roster has undergone many changes, which has been challenging for everyone, both players and coaching staff. We must find a way out of the current predicament, but I firmly believe that we have the ability to do it. I will not be swayed by outside comments, but I understand everyone's emotions. As a team, we are working hard to maintain unity and strength."
